Before the bin, we just sorta tossed the paper in a heap on the floor. We have a tall, plastic trash bin we put containers in, and that works pretty well, but the heap on the floor was driving me crazy. It would not be contained. And after a while it started looking like a litter box. Then things would get very ugly and we’d eventually take care of the whole nightmare. Rinse and repeat. I really miss AA’s weekly curbside recycle pickup. Norway needs a weekly curbside pick up, too.

The paper bags should be fine ’cause paper is fairly light. Starting tomatoes and peppers and herbs from seeds is kind of a pain unless you are real big into that kind of thing. Gotta keep the temp right and make sure to keep adjusting the height of the lights and you gotta pet ’em everyday so they get strong. I think for the average garden it makes more sense to buy tomatoes, peppers and most herbs as starter plants. But if you ever decide you want to try, I can probably give you some hints. The sheep are being mysterious as always and I haven’t seen any udders.

Ooooo, very nice. You guys need to come visit us and then you all can build us one of those. We need something for paper, bottles we can return for deposit, and then all the tins, glass and plastic to just return for recycle. Now, we are just using Ikea bags and plastic bags and hoping things to pile up too high before they get taken in. heh. Well, any excuse to get you all to come for a vist. 😉

Your recycle bin is awesome! Are those paper bags robust enough to hold all the paper? I also plan on having a garden this summer, I never even thought to start seeds in flats.. shows what I know. Your farm projects are always so interesting Any news on your knocked-up sheep? P.S. After seeing that one post again and again as I checked on you, Andy looks strange without his extra hair.
